YUNYANMIX YY-116 C2TES1 Tile Adhesive
High-Performance, Deformable Cement-Based Wall & Floor Tile Adhesive
Product Overview
YUNYANMIX YY-116 is an industrial-grade, polymer-modified cement-based tile adhesive professionally formulated for the most demanding stone and large-format tile installations. Certified to meet the rigorous European standard EN12004 as a C2TES1 tile adhesive, YY-116 delivers exceptional deformability ($\ge 2.6\text{ mm}$), structural flexibility, and an advanced non-slip formula ($\le 0.2\text{ mm}$ slip) to guarantee sag-free vertical installations.
As a premium wall and floor tile adhesive, this single-component dry powder requires only the addition of clean water on-site. It acts as a highly reliable porcelain tile adhesive and stone binder, engineered with an extended open time ($>30\text{ mins}$) and excellent adjustability to significantly streamline large-scale construction workflows. With an outstanding service life of up to 25 years, YY-116 is the ultimate high-performance tile adhesive for residential, commercial, and heavy-traffic industrial layouts.
Key Features & Benefits
-
C2TES1 Premium Classification: Engineered with massive initial tensile adhesion strengths up to $1.81\text{ Mpa}$ (Grey) or $1.40\text{ Mpa}$ (White), ensuring flawless heavy-duty ceramic tile bonding and large stone fixing.
-
Extended Open Time & Non-Slip: Features an extended open time exceeding 30 minutes (retaining $\ge 1.0\text{ Mpa}$ adhesion strength) and an anti-sag slip rating of just $0.2\text{ mm}$, ideal for high-altitude wall tiling.
-
Fast Setting & Grouting Capabilities: This fast setting tile adhesive allows walls to be ready for grouting within just 4 to 8 hours, allowing fast-track project turnarounds.
-
S1 Deformability ($\ge 2.6\text{ mm}$): Accommodates structural vibrations, thermal expansion, and substrate deflection without substrate shearing or tile cracking.
-
Superb Resistance to Extreme Environments: Passed stringent 28-day water immersion ($1.31\text{ Mpa}$), freeze-thaw cycling ($1.27\text{ Mpa}$), and heat aging ($1.73\text{ Mpa}$) testing. It remains fully stable across extreme service temperatures ranging from $-30^\circ\text{C}$ to $+90^\circ\text{C}$.
-
Eco-Friendly Formulation: Composed of eco-friendly Portland cement, calcium magnesium carbonate, and non-hazardous polymer additives.
Scope of Application
YUNYANMIX YY-116 is highly versatile, designed for both interior and exterior use across diverse subfloor situations:
-
Premium Substrates: Fixing large-format stones, granite, slabs, or marbles onto conventional substrates, precast concrete panels, concrete walls/floors, cement renders/screeds, and plywood.
-
Direct Tile-on-Tile Renovation: Can be applied directly onto the slick surfaces of existing old porcelain tile, mosaics, or glazed tiles without mechanical hacking.

Step-by-Step Installation Guide
1. Substrate Check
The installation wall or floor substrate must be fully cured, structurally sound, clean, dry, and free of loose dust, oil, paint, or release agents. Application ambient temperature on site should be between 5°C and 40°C.
2. Professional Mixing
Pour clean water into a mixing container, then slowly add the YY-116 adhesive powder at a weight ratio of 100kg powder to 24–28L water. Mix thoroughly with an electric paddle mixer until a smooth, lump-free paste consistency is reached. Let the mixture slake for a few minutes, then re-stir before use.
3. Application Method
Apply the mixed paste to the wall or floor using a suitable notched trowel to create a rib-like uniform adhesive bed. Press the tiles firmly into the wet adhesive bed using a slight twisting motion to ensure maximum back-coverage and strong ceramic tile bonding.
4. Grouting & Traffic
For wall installations, tiles are locked and ready for joint grouting within 4 to 8 hours. For floor layouts, wait 24 hours before grouting or letting light foot traffic onto the tiles. The tile system achieves full service curing after 14 days.
